On BALTYPAA convention in Kaunas

Dear BALTYPAA Friends, After long discussions, the host committee decided and has to sadly announce that we are postponing the BALTYPAA event in Kaunas to 2021. The reason for this, as you probably can understand, is a concerning situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Those who have already booked the hotel, please contact us and we will try to help you solve the situation. We are really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. All the registrations will be valid for the next year. If you would like to get a refund for your registration, please contact us. Our contact email is baltypaa2@gmail.com.

About YPAA

YPAA groups in Alcoholics Anonymous began appearing around 1945 in USA and now they can be found all across the world. In 1958 Niagara Falls, NY hosted the first ever International Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (ICYPAA), and it has met on an annual basis ever since. In a letter to ICYPAA dated June 15, 1969, Bill wrote: “… in recent years I have found nothing for greater inspiration than the knowledge that A.A. of tomorrow will be safe, and certainly magnificent, in the keeping of you who are the younger generation of A.A. today.

BALTYPAA has been founded for the purpose of providing a setting for an annual celebration of sobriety amongst young people in AA from the Baltics and all over the world. The convention will be held in 2021 in Kaunas, Lithuania. The hope is to make it an annual celebration of sobriety.

There are a lot of people suffering from alcoholism, who turn to AA for help and BALTYPAA helps to carry AA’s message of recovery to alcoholics of all ages. We provide an opportunity for people from all over the world to come together and share their experience, strength, and hope. Whether you consider yourself a member of AA or a friend of AA, YOU ARE WELCOME! (Al-Anon, Alateen etc.).

We hope everyone who attends BALTYPAA returns home better prepared to receive people who come to the fellowships looking for a better way of life. No matter what their age is.
